If you’re addicted to spreadsheets like I am, then you’ll probably be equally as impressed as I was by the DabbleDB demo.  If you have eight minutes to spare, I highly recommend watching it at http://dabbledb.com/demo/.  I haven’t had a chance to play with the real thing yet, but I’m curious if anyone else has.  How does it look?  Does it really slice and dice as well as it looks like it does in the demo?  Are the collaborative features really that awesome?

According to their site:

Dabble DB is a web-based application that lets you work with data on your own terms. Instead of downloading an application, you upload your data and then build your own database application. You can import existing data or just start from scratch. Extend it orchange it as you go. Restructure and redefine how you organize your data on a whim.

What can you do with Dabble? Quite a lot, actually. Because it’s so flexible, you can build just about any sort of database. Here are just a few possibilities:

  • Tracking sales and invoices
  • Contacts and CRM
  • Project management
  • Scheduling events, classes, workshifts
  • Timesheets
  • Personnel records
  • Tracking workflow
  • Surveys and reviews
  • Basic statistical analysis
  • General content management
